In a dystopian world where mutants—individuals with the ability to transform into animals—are confined to the island city of Arktus, two young mutants, Liora and Kian, enroll in the Academy to gain control over their mutation. Their goal: to secure passage to the human cities beyond Arktus's walls. As a friendship develops between the two, they discover the dark truth behind the Academy. They must now fight against the oppressive Arktus government to reclaim their freedom.

"Arktus" is a 2-minute student thesis film I made during my 4th year at Sheridan College. Wanting to tell a bigger story in a shorter time frame, I decided to adopt to a trailer format. The process of making a short in 8 months has taught me a lot about bringing creative visions to life.
